Spring is finally upon us here in
Minnesota, which mean one thing, it’s time for spring
cleaning! You don’t
know what you should be doing to organize your house? No fear! That’s what I’m
here for! I have a couple tips for you to make organizing your house this
spring that much easier!
- You have finally committed to buying the new
pair of boots you've had your eyes on for the past couple months, and it’s
just about time for you to store them away for the summer. Worried about
them getting smashed up while they sit lonely in your closet in the warmer
months? Don’t be! Throwing some paper towel rolls in those boots and they
will be nice and perky all summer, until you need them again!
- Keep losing your earrings or backs, no matter
what you do? I know the feeling, and I know how frustrating it can be! I have a solution for that. I found that ice cube trays are great
for storing all of those earrings. No more missing backs for you! They are
cheap, and easy to store in a dresser drawer if you don’t want your
jewelry out in the open.
- What is your biggest complaint about cleaning
the windows of your house or car? I know mine is always seeing those
annoying streaks that most paper towels leave behind. A friend recently
shared with me a little secret, however. Coffee Filters! I know, I didn't really believe it at first either. But I decided to give it a shot and now
my windows are beautiful, shiny, and streak free. I definitely won’t be
going back to paper towels anytime soon.
- Last, but certainly not least on this
wonderful list of spring organization tips, is cleaning that smelly
garbage disposal. As much as I try to keep my kitchen clean, sometimes the
disposal just doesn't want to cooperate. This is where lemons and salt
came into play. Throw a quarter of a lemon and a teaspoon of salt and you
will have your garbage disposal smelling nice and fresh in no time!
So, these are my tricks at making spring cleaning a little bit easier! How about sharing some of your spring
cleaning tips below? I always love hearing ways to make the tedious, but
necessary, task that much easier.
